Do you have a smart phone?
Of course you do. Use your calendar to create reminders to yourself for everything: your next haircut, to call someone, a critical shopping item, and especially to cancel subscriptions before they roll over and you get charged for something you don’t want. For those cancellations be sure to set the reminder a few days before. And use the alerts in a way that works best for you. For something like a cancellation I just take the default ’10 minutes before’ alert because the timing isn’t as important to me as the reminder itself. For scheduled dates I like to have a 24-hour reminder and a 1-hour reminder, assuming that an hour is sufficient time for me to prepare for the event. I have often been surprised by an alert I completely forgot about – and grateful that I had set the reminder!
